Wow! We had an amazing time at Modan. The ambiance, service, food, and drinks were absolutely outstanding. Jesh was very informed, made excellent recommendations, and make the birthday celebration very special. The DJ was great and the music was at a perfect volume for us to still converse. While I do not have pictures of everything we had (we ate faster than we could even comprehend) I do remember everything we had. To start: 1. Fresh Oysters 2. Roasted Cauliflower Speciality Role: 1. Pink Lady 2. Kracken 3. Dragonball Z Hot dishes (our top 2): 1. Lobster 2. Black Cod I do not remember the signature options. I highly recommend Modan for any celebrations, date night, girls night, or even a solo date.
Excellent sushi restaurant in Tyson’s. Superb sushi, super attentive service, and upscale vibe. First time eating at Modan and really enjoyed the overall experience. We tried the tasting menu, with 6 courses, and took 2.5hrs. Everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. Atmosphere is hip and upscale - feels more like downtown DC than Tyson’s. Service was on point and not pretentious. Highly recommend the various fish carpaccio options - probably our favorite. Cocktails were unique. A few minor kinks on service and certain details, somewhat expected from newer place. Pricey. But worth it for high-end evening of sushi and ambiance. Highly recommend.
This restaurant is truly a hidden gem! Conveniently located, it offers an incredible dining experience that exceeded all expectations. The food was far beyond just amazing...it was absolutely delicious. With every bite, the flavors kept getting better and better, making each dish a delight to savor. On top of that, the staff was exceptionally attentive, ensuring a fantastic experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!
When it comes to high-end Japanese sushi restaurants, one that stands out is Modan in Tysons. This restaurant perfectly blends exquisite cuisine with a vibrant, fun atmosphere. I was just amazed with its exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail, and the restaurant offers an unforgettable omakase experience. We also had uni pasta, tomahawk steak, miso cod and fire cracker sushi roll. All the food we had was absolutely wonderful and I will definitely come back for more!
Had a memorable dinner this past weekend. It was my husband and I’s anniversary and we decided to check this place out. Everything was wonderful down to the literal tea. Customer service was beyond exceptional. Our server was friendly and polite, continuously checked up on us. I have to stay, the staff had excellent teamwork: everything just flowed so nicely, from bringing out the food, to ensuring we had everything we needed. The food was pretty amazing and for the price, there was a lot! (Some plates not shown below). We did the tasting menu and it did not disappoint. Everything was flavorful and went so well together. Of course, dessert was the main attraction - we made sure nothing was left behind. We will definitely be back for more.
If you’re looking for a fancy restaurant to celebrate an occasion or just to enjoy an experience, I highly recommend Modan Restaurant (Tysons Corner area). The place is beautiful and the dishes were so fresh and delicious. I did the Modan Experience (6 course meal) which consisted of mostly fish and it was the freshest fish I’ve had in this area. If you enjoy sushi and sashimi, i definitely would recommend the experience. My husband got the tomahawk steak which was phenomenal. The sake and red wine complimented the dishes very well. I look forward to going there again.
Went for the Tasting Experience which was an excellent. The food looked and tasted great. The flavor combination they put together for the steak wasn't anything I'd order again but it was interesting to try. Staff and service was excellent as well. Also the restaurant has a nice vibe inside however the downside is there's no good views unless you enjoy looking at the metro or Tyson's traffic.
5 stars I had a wonderful experience at Modan Restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was delicious, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. Whether you’re in the mood for something comforting or something new, their menu has a great variety to choose from. Modan is definitely a place I’ll be returning to, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience. A hidden gem!
